On August 1, China’s first pilot program of cohesive customs supervision over cross-border e-commerce export was inaugurated at Dongguan International Mail Office of Exchange in Guangdong Province. This is a new supervision model jointly launched by Guangdong Postal Branch and Dongguan Customs House, aiming to overcome the obstacles and bottlenecks of customs supervision and corporate production in the process of customs clearance of cross-border e-commerce export. In this program, customs supervision is integrated into the logistics links of enterprises, allowing logistics enterprises to complete customs declaration and supervision while fulfilling operation, thus shortening the service chain.
Actively implementing the integrated customs clearance plans of China Post Group for international mail, international express and cross-border ecommerce items, Dongguan International Mail Office of Exchange closely follows market needs, gives full play to its postal port resources, and attaches equal importance to international postal service and commercial express service. It adds the new cohesive supervision mode for cross-border e-commerce export list to the existing supervision modes for outbound personal postal items and cross-border e-commerce waybills, to further expand and improve commercial channel service and provide customers with more customs clearance options. At the same time, it makes effective use of the existing production equipment and achieve the operation of mail items and cross-border e-commerce goods in the same premises, thereby reducing costs and increasing efficiency.
