On October 31, the World Cities Day, the theme post office “Yangtze No. 11” officially opened in Shanghai Wusong Paotaiwan National Wetland Park, Shanghai International Cruise Resort. As theme post offices named after a river, the Yangtze post offices have been established one in each of the 11 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) along the Yangtze River, from Yangtze No.1 in Qinghai province, where the Yangtze River originates, to Yangtze No. 11 in Shanghai, where the river flows into the sea.
At the event, a promotional film of the Yangtze post offices casting the popular actor Hu Ge was released for the first time. At the same time, Shanghai Postal Branch also issued a commemorative datemark of the Yangtze 11 Post Office, as well as commemorative envelopes, postcards, stamp albums and other philatelic products on the theme of the Yangtze River. Customers on site could also make and print customized postcards on demand. In the future, Shanghai Postal Branch, taking Yangtze No. 11 Post Office as a platform and focusing on river culture, environmental protection, green and harmonious development and other themes, will join hands with government departments and cooperative partners to bring more cultural experiences to travel enthusiasts, philatelists and others.
