On November 22, under the coordination and organization of Yunnan Postal Branch, 288 boxes of exhibition materials weighing 4 tons and including tea, coffee beans, preserved fresh flowers and spice specimens, which Yunnan visiting group took to the second phase of the 15th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (hereinafter referred to as COP15), arrived in Montreal, Canada, where the secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity is based. For that reason, the COP15 preparatory work leading group office of Yunnan province highly praised Yunnan Postal Branch for its efforts.
The second phase of COP15 will be held in Montreal from December 7 to 19. In order to well assist in the second phase of COP15 and present the beauty and vibrancy of the colorful Yunnan to the world, the COP15 preparatory work leading group office of Yunnan province has elaborately prepared the exhibits. As a major supporting enterprise, Yunnan Postal Branch undertook the task of sending the exhibits abroad.
The wide variety of the exhibition materials, most of which required inspection and quarantine when sent abroad, brought great difficulties to the outbound customs declaration and inspection. Racing against time, Yunnan Postal Branch implemented mail processing and customs declaration simultaneously. It actively coordinated with Kunming Customs District to jointly formulate tailored solutions. They then opened a “green channel” for rapid customs clearance, and completed integrated customs declaration, thus ensuring the safe, efficient and fast customs clearance of the exhibition materials.
