Yanji-Seoul direct airmail route resumes
|China Post News|2023-02-16

At 12:10 p.m. on February 8, Flight OZ352 of Asiana Airlines carrying 1,000 kilograms of EMS items departed from Chaoyangchuan International Airport in Yanji, Jilin province, for Incheon International Airport in South Korea. This is the first time that the bellyhold of an airliner has been used to transport international EMS items on Yanji-Seoul direct airmail route since the mail route was interrupted due to the suspension of all international flights at the airport on March 29, 2020. The resumption of the route has greatly shortened the time limit of EMS items from Northeast China to South Korea by three to seven days.

To this end, Yanbian Postal Branch carried out a themed warm-up campaign on the slogan “Good Surprise for You in February”. This campaign was targeted at international customers. Through precision telemarketing, customers’ feedback was recorded in detail and precise customer files established. In the future, Yanbian Postal Branch will take the resumption of the mail routes as an opportunity to speed up the development of mail service to South Korea, Japan and the USA, and contribute to the high-quality development of mail service in Jilin province.
