PSBC wins prize at Big Data Expo 2023
|China Post News|2023-06-16

At the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2023 (hereinafter referred to as the Big Data Expo 2023) held from May 26 to 28, the project "Remote Video plus AI, Creating New Experience of Banking Services" submitted by the Postal Savings Bank of China (PSBC) won the Outstanding Scientific and Technological Achievement Award, making PSBC the only award winner from the banking sector.

The China International Big Data Industry Expo (Big Data Expo), the world's first exposition on the theme of big data, is co-sponsored by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Cyberspace Administration of China, and the Guizhou Provincial People's Government. The Big Data Expo 2023 collected 357 scientific and technological achievements in the fields of big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing, 5G, Internet, the Internet of things, and data security. The expert committee, led by academicians and including nearly 30 Chinese authoritative experts in the field of the Internet and big data, selected the award-winning projects through rigorous preliminary and final reviews. The selected projects represent the cutting-edge sci-tech achievements in the field of big data at home and abroad in recent years, which not only lead in technology, but also have broad application prospects.

The Remote Video plus AI capacity is supported by a remote service center system developed independently by PSBC. The system integrates remote streaming videos with AI intelligent analysis capabilities, and creates new scenarios of intelligent services beyond the limits of brick-and-mortar outlets so as to bring new interactive experience to customers. It converts video stream processing, speech semantic analysis, and portrait recognition into intuitive, flexible and visual operators through distributed multimedia container engines to provide multimodal data processing, thereby enabling client managers to get standardized and intelligent online business handling processes, and greatly improving customer experience and service efficiency.

The remote service center system has played an important role in PSBC’s business lines since it was launched. Take remote audio and video recording (hereinafter referred to as remote dual recording) as an example. PSBC has cumulatively completed nearly one million transactions of video recording, and some outlets have completely replaced offline dual recording with remote dual recording, which relieves the outlets of operational pressure and improves their efficiency, while further enhancing their level of customer service. At the same time, the remote service center system integrates the whole-process intelligent quality inspection system, and is driven by dozens of AI algorithms including facial recognition, behavior detection, speech analysis, OCR (Optical Character Recognition) dynamic blur detection, to enable real-time video in-process check and whole-process one hundred percent quality inspection, thus ensuring the compliance, security and traceability of service.
