China Post Group and ICBC sign strategic cooperation agreement

On July 3, China Post Group Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as China Post Group) and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited (hereinafter referred to as ICBC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing. Chairman Liu Aili of China Post Group, President Zheng Guoyu of China Post Group, Chairman Chen Siqing of ICBC, President Liao Lin of ICBC and their entourage held a discussion and witnessed the signing ceremony.

 

 

Liu Aili said, as the leader of the banking industry, ICBC has been widely praised for serving the manufacturing industry, developing inclusive finance, supporting rural revitalization and developing green finance, and has made important contributions to the healthy and stable development of the financial industry. These achievements are encouraging, and can further strengthen the confidence and resolution of the two sides in their cooperation. China Post has always been adhering to the mission and responsibility of serving the people, and has constantly played an important role in supporting national strategies, serving the people for a better life and smoothing the economic circulation. In terms of financial business, the Postal Savings Bank of China (hereinafter referred to as PSBC) is one of the six largest state-owned commercial banks with the largest number of outlets in the country. China Post resolutely implements the national strategic plan and focuses on inclusive finance. Leveraging the synergy advantages, China Post and PSBC jointly build county-level financial studios for rural revitalization to help farmers solve their difficulty in financing, and facilitate family-run shops and small commodities in rural areas to integrate into the domestic market and circulation of the national economy. China Post and ICBC have been maintaining a close strategic partnership, Liu said. He also hopes that the two sides will deepen comprehensive business cooperation, promote win-win cooperation and common development in more fields and to a higher and deeper level, and jointly make greater contributions to the high-quality development of the real economy.

Chen Siqing said, over the years, China Post Group and ICBC have become the most important strategic partners to each other, and have carried out extensive practical cooperation in financial services, interbank cooperation, postal delivery service and other fields, thus achieving a good demonstration effect. He hopes that the two groups will take the signing of this strategic cooperation agreement as an opportunity to open a new chapter for comprehensive cooperation.

As the world’s largest postal enterprise and commercial bank, China Post and ICBC have strong complementary advantages and great cooperation potential. According to the agreement, the two parties will give full play to their respective advantages and carry out in-depth cooperation in banking, express service, insurance, securities as well as brand promotion, key client retention, business referral and corporate culture construction.
