Deepen practical cooperation and jointly promote postal service development in China and Belarus—— Chairman Liu Aili meets with President Sviatlana Yurkevich of Belpochta

Recently, Chairman Liu Aili of China Post Group Corporation Limited met with President Sviatlana Yurkevich of RUE “Belpochta” (hereinafter referred to as Belpochta, meaning Post of Belarus) and her entourage in Beijing. The two sides conducted communication and exchanges on further strengthening cooperation in international service, e-commerce and application of new technologies, and both agreed to establish a joint working group to promote the development of postal services in China and Belarus.

Liu Aili extended warm welcome to Ms. Yurkevich and her entourage, commended the achievements made by the long-term cooperation between the two parties, and introduced the business development of China Post in recent years. He said, China Post and Belpochta have been carrying out active and pragmatic cooperation under the framework of the Universal Postal Union, which provides support for trade and business between the two countries. They have also cooperated in mail transportation via China-Europe freight trains under the Belt and Road Initiative framework. Hence a lot of opportunities for cooperation at present. According to Mr. Liu Aili, the cooperation between the two parties has great potential. In terms of international business cooperation, he hopes that Belpochta can optimize the quality of land transit service for China-Europe freight trains, and provide support for expanding the transit coverage, increasing the shipping frequency of the freight trains, shortening transit time, and increasing events for information. In terms of e-commerce, he hopes that both sides can strengthen cooperation in online product sales, delivery and other aspects to promote the development of e-commerce in both countries. In philatelic business, he hopes that both parties can strengthen joint development and issuance of philatelic products to achieve mutual benefit and win-win cooperation.

Ms. Yurkevich highly praised the achievements of China Post and introduced the development of Belpochta. She said, with the rapid development of e-commerce, Belpochta needs a stabler logistics and transportation network to meet the customers’ needs and provide them with better service. She hopes to learn from China Post advanced experience in e-commerce and technological innovation, so as to improve the service quality of Belpochta. At the same time, she hopes that both sides can continue to strengthen international business cooperation, and take Belarus as a transit point for mail items sent from China to Europe, thereby accelerating transmission speed, increasing business volume, and providing online cross-border enterprises with better postal services and more development opportunities through technology empowerment. Both parties can further expand cooperation in international e-commerce, and jointly provide mail delivery service and more service options for online merchants to achieve win-win development.
