Since the beginning of this year, Hunan Postal Branch has made great efforts to develop its international parcel, express and logistics service and furthered its innovation, transformation and development by seeking channels and customers, thus scoring significant achievements. By the end of July, its total international business revenue had reached 342 million yuan (about 47.03 million US dollars), a year-on-year increase of 68 percent. Its profit had exceeded 16.04 million yuan (about 2.21 million US dollars), completing 206.93 percent of the profit budget.

Hunan Postal Branch has actively expanded its international channels. With the pattern of “independence plus collaboration”, it has launched cargo charter flights and dedicated mail transport lines to Mexico and the UK. It has cooperated with the key block train platforms in different provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities), and opened inbound and outbound China-Europe freight train service. It has collaborated with Higoshipping Co Ltd in river and ocean combined transport, and joined hands with Sinotrans Limited to explore scheduled trucking of mail to Russia. In June in particular, it worked with Changsha Customs District and launched Hunan-Guangdong-Hong Kong Single E-lock Scheme, which enables automatic and rapid inspection and release of cargos at ports through mutual assistance in law enforcement and information sharing via technologies such as satellite positioning and checkpoint direct connection, therefore effectively reducing the logistics costs of customs clearance for enterprises and facilitating cross-border trade.

In its effort to constantly promote the construction of cross-border industrial ecosystem, Hunan Postal Branch also assisted integrated bonded areas in launching “front store and rear warehouse” business and jointly operated the Changde bonded logistics center project developed by Deyuan Group in Changde. Currently the project is in steady progress. At the same time, it has made great efforts to integrate with the local industries, cooperating with Lens Technology in international express and freight to provide flight and pallet charter services on direct overseas air routes.
