On September 5, Yunnan Postal Branch signed a memorandum of understanding on strategic cooperation agreement with Laos’ PTL Holding Company Limited. The two sides will seize new opportunities for bilateral economic and trade cooperation between China and Laos, and conduct multifield cooperation in the construction of cross-border e-commerce and logistics distribution systems.

The two sides agreed to focus on cross-border e-commerce via the China-Laos Railway, coordinate to accelerate the transportation, customs clearance and distribution of China’s e-commerce exports, and conduct diversified bilateral business through the China-Laos Railway. At the same time, they will both take their cooperation as a key event in their in-depth implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, and promote the sales of their agricultural and industrial products in the Belt and Road countries. Both sides hope to expand their cooperation from logistics and trade to finance and other sectors, strive to build a new platform for bilateral economic and trade cooperation between China and Laos, and work together to create new opportunities and new future for the Belt and Road Initiative and the RCEP.
