On September 5, with the joint efforts of Shandong Postal Branch, Jinan Customs District, Jinan Port Office and Shandong Hi-Speed Company Limited, the “Qilu” China-Europe freight train mail transport project got containers of mail items loaded successfully onto the train and to start their journey from Jinan to Moscow, Russia.

Leveraging the advantage of China-Europe freight trains in their stable time efficiency, this project can greatly shorten the time and further reduce the costs of cargo transportation, and therefore provide more efficient and convenient logistics services for e-commerce clients. At the same time, it will further expand the international postal routes in Shandong, empower its postal ports, enrich international mail delivery services and products, boost express enterprises to go global, and eventually inject new momentum into the foreign trade growth of Shandong province.
