On September 19, Chairman Liu Aili of China Post Group Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as China Post) met with the Chairman-elect Nguyen Truong Giang of Vietnam Post and his entourage in Beijing. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on strengthening cooperation between the two Posts, especially in e-commerce, international services and sci-tech application. They agreed to build an effective communication and coordination mechanism to jointly promote the cooperation and development of postal services in China and Vietnam.

Liu Aili extended warm welcome to Nguyen Truong Giang and his entourage. He pointed out, China Post and Vietnam Post are good partners and friends who support each other and make common progress. China is Vietnam’s largest trading partner, largest import market and second largest export market. China and Vietnam are each other's development opportunities, with broad prospects in economic and trade cooperation and huge market potential, which provides broad space for China Post and Vietnam Post to strengthen their cooperation. Liu Aili hopes that the two sides can enhance communication, establish an effective coordination mechanism, and push the cooperation between the two sides to a higher level. He proposed that both sides further optimize the terminal dues for bilateral products, promote the regular exchange of mail between the ports of China and Vietnam, and explore cooperation in mail transportation by rail and cooperation in commercial channels, so as to improve the market competitiveness of the products of both sides. Liu Aili also introduced the reform and development of China Post in recent years, saying that through transformation and upgrading, China Post has developed into a modern enterprise group covering traditional postal services, finance, parcel and express services, e-commerce and other fields. Facing fierce market competition, China Post has constantly deepened reform and reinforced innovation, so as to expand market share and improve the corporate core competitiveness. China Post is willing to share its experience in reform and development with Vietnam Post.

Nguyen Truong Giang highly praised the development achievements China Post has made through reform and innovation, and introduced the development of Vietnam Post. He said, Vietnam Post has the same development vision as China Post. Through this exchange, he hopes that Vietnam Post can learn the advanced development experience of China Post in promoting the circulation of farm produces and industrial products, and also in technology empowerment, e-commerce and other aspects.
