At 16:00 on November 24, a postal vehicle loaded with 6102 pieces of Russia-bound cross-border ecommerce mail items launched its first journey from Taiyuan International Mail Office of Exchange, marking the official opening of Taiyuan-Russia international land postal route.
This is the first international land postal route with which Shanxi Postal Branch can directly dispatch its outbound international mail abroad. Taiyuan International Mail Office of Exchange dispatches postal vehicles, once every two or three days as planned, to transport mail to Manzhouli, where the mail will then be transited to Kazan or Yekaterinburg in Russia. After the launch of the route, the international mail items dispatched on land from Shanxi to Russia will not be transported to Beijing for transit, which enables a reduction of three to five days in overall transport time limit. Moreover, it will complement the Russia-bound international airmail route effectively and promote resource sharing, thus further improving customer experience and satisfying the diverse needs of cross-border ecommerce entities for international logistics.
