On December 19, the State Post Bureau and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held an on-site meeting on the integrated development of express delivery industry and manufacturing industry in Qingdao, Shandong province, and announced the first 22 typical projects and the nine pilot areas for “5312” Project of integrated development of express delivery industry and manufacturing industry. China Postal Express & Logistics Co Ltd has nine projects selected as typical projects for serving manufacturing enterprises such as Bosch (China) Investment Ltd, Volvo, HOERBIGER, Marelli, Huawei, HP, HOdo, Nike and Shanxi Xinghuacun Fenjiu Group.

At the meeting, the Parcel, Express and Logistics Business Unit of China Post Group stated, China Post has constantly enhanced its capabilities in integrated supply chain express and logistics, inbound logistics, lineside logistics, distribution logistics, spare parts express and logistics as well as cross-border express and logistics in accordance with the unified arrangement of the “5312” Project, which proposed that express delivery enterprises should focus on the five manufacturing fields of automobiles, 3C electronics, pharmaceuticals, clothing and light industry, and the three processes of pre-production, production and post-production in the industry, to develop 100 typical integration projects and build 20 pilot areas for the fully integrated development of express delivery and manufacturing industries.
