On the occasion when the Chinese New Year in 2024, the Year of the Dragon, is approaching, China Post and China Media Group jointly launched a set of prepaid commemorative covers “Best wishes from the 2024 CCTV Spring Festival Gala”. The prepaid commemorative covers issued globally by the CCTV Spring Festival Gala for the first time ever in the Year of the Dragon will send greetings from the site of the gala to friends worldwide celebrating the Chinese New Year.
The set consists of a commemorative pre-stamped cover and a postcard. China Post has simultaneously issued its first anti-counterfeiting postage meter stamp and launched red and tri-colored cultural date marks for the Spring Festival gala. The envelope, postcard and anti-counterfeiting postage meter stamp are created via special technology, therefore very collectable. The two cultural date marks, one monochrome and the other tri-colored, took Chinese lanterns as prototypes. The designs are embedded with two Chinese characters “春晚” (the Chinese abbreviation for the CCTV Spring Festival gala), and contain elements such as the time, site and theme of the marks, highlighting the special locality of 2024 CCTV Spring Festival Gala from which the greetings are sent. All the online orders will be stamped with the red cultural date mark.
In terms of delivery, China Post will call the buyers from the Chinese mainland for door-to-door delivery. At the same time, it has launched delivery service to Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas countries for online orders, leveraging its advantage of reaching the world to deliver the traditional Chinese Spring Festival culture to the audience all around the world.
