On March 13, Chairman Liu Aili of China Post Group Corporation Limited met with Slovenian Ambassador to China Alenka Suhadolnik at the headquarters of China Post Group in Beijing. The two sides had in-depth exchanges and discussion on strengthening cooperation in e-commerce and optimizing transportation time limit.
Liu Aili extended a warm welcome to Alenka Suhadolnik and her entourage, and expressed thanks to the ambassador for her care and support for the development of postal services in China and Slovenia. When he and his delegation visited Slovenia in January this year, Liu Aili had sufficient communication and exchanges with local postal officials. Post of Slovenia has many excellent development strategies and best practices in promoting universal postal service, cross-border e-commerce, logistics and IT solutions. China Post will prioritize Europe for its international business development, according to Mr. Liu Aili. He hopes that the two Posts can seize the opportunities in cross-border e-commerce market, strengthen cooperation in commercial products based on market demands, and explore reciprocity in terminal dues and cooperation in line haul transportation, so as to improve transportation quality and ensure stable time efficiency. At the same time, he expects that both sides can fully discuss the cooperation proposal of transiting mail from China to Europe via Post of Slovenia, and work out a concrete solution as soon as possible.
Alenka Suhadolnik expressed her appreciation to China Post for its contributions to the development and cooperation of the two Posts, and conveyed warm greetings from Žiga Vavpotič, president of the Slovenian-Chinese Business Council of the Slovene Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She said, Slovenia boasts a sound industrial and sci-tech foundation, with multiple high-tech and cutting-edge products leading the world. And China has a rapidly growing market. Therefore, there is great potential for cooperation between the two sides. She hopes that China Post can cooperate more with Post of Slovenia, and both sides can strengthen cooperation in shortening mail transportation time limit and transiting mail for mutual benefit. At the same time, she expects that the two Posts may sign a strategic cooperation memorandum so as to better promote the development of postal services in the two countries.
