On March 12, Chairman Liu Aili of China Post Group Corporation Limited met with Wang Kai, governor of Henan province, and his entourage at the headquarters of China Post Group.

On behalf of Henan provincial Party committee and the provincial government, Wang Kai extended his gratitude to China Post for its long-term support for the development of Henan. He said, at a time when Henan is speeding up the construction of a modern comprehensive transport network, China Post’s establishing an air hub in Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan, will highlight prominent advantages and broad development space. He hopes that both sides will work together to accelerate the implementation of the cooperation project and secure more achievements in transforming means of logistics and comprehensively promoting rural revitalization.

Liu Aili expressed his thanks to Henan provincial Party committee and the provincial government for their strong support for the high-quality development of China Post. As the only state-owned enterprise with post offices established in all townships and direct postal services reaching all administrative villages nationwide, China Post is supporting rural revitalization in a systematic and standardized manner. Through accelerating the construction of the three-tiered logistics system and pressing ahead with the integrated development of passenger, goods and mail transportation services in rural areas, China Post has leveraged its advantages of four flows (commodity, logistics, capital and information) to help solve the three key difficulties of logistics, sales and financing in rural areas, and facilitated integrating small rural industries into the economic flows and connecting agricultural products to the national market, thus creating a unique model of serving rural revitalization with postal characteristics. In terms of financial business, the Postal Savings Bank of China, as a state-owned bank, has actively carried out national strategies, and innovatively served agriculture, rural areas and farmers, urban and rural residents as well as small and medium-sized enterprises. It has proactively extended the scope of basic financial services in rural areas, and assisted farmers and new types of agribusinesses in credit financing, thereby demonstrating the responsibilities as a large state-owned bank in serving the economic and social development. Liu Aili stated, Henan boasts obvious location and transportation advantages and a promising future for developing a modern logistics system. China Post will give full play to its own advantages and seek in-depth cooperation with Henan in more fields. He hopes that Henan provincial Party committee and the provincial government will offer more support for China Post in constructing the air hub and advancing rural revitalization, so that China Post can make greater contributions to the modernization of Henan.

Both sides conducted in-depth discussion on the location of China Post air hub and the development of the postal distribution center and the three-tiered logistics system at village, township and county levels, and reached consensus on multiple specific tasks. They agreed to set up an advancement mechanism through dedicated task forces and a joint working group to maintain close communication, so that they can push forward the early implementation of the cooperation project and ensure tangible results.
