Deepen cooperation and promote construction of key projects— Liu Aili meets with Guiyang Mayor Ma Ningyu and his entourage
|China Post News|2024-03-19

On March 12, Liu Aili, chairman of China Post Group Corporation Limited, met with Ma Ningyu, mayor of Guiyang city, Guizhou province, and his entourage at the headquarters of China Post Group in Beijing. They conducted in-depth discussions on travel logistics (targeted at people who travel and stay in Guiyang for a prolonged time), industrial logistics, mail center construction, big data application and so on.

Ma Ningyu introduced the basic information and the local economic and social development of Guiyang, and expressed his gratitude to China Post for its important contributions to Guiyang’s economic and social development in recent years. He said, Guiyang is an important node city of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in the western region. Therefore, he hopes that China Post will start the construction project of Guiyang mail processing and warehousing center as soon as possible to help build Guiyang into an important cargo hub in the southwest region and a new gateway for the opening up of the western region. The Guiyang municipal government will provide policy support in terms of project land use, airside access and so on.

Liu Aili extended a warm welcome to Ma Ningyu and his entourage, and introduced the reform and development of China Post. He said, China Post deeply understands that logistics is a significant bridge between production and consumption, and has therefore taken active measures to effectively reduce logistics costs in compliance with the decisions and plans made by the CPC Central Committee. The construction of Guiyang mail processing and warehousing center is an important initiative that has taken into account the long-term development needs. The new mail center will not only alleviate the inconvenience of operation and traffic impact on urban transportation caused by the current one located in the downtown area, but also leverage the advantages of being adjacent to the airport and transportation hub to effectively reduce logistics costs. In terms of travel logistics, China Post will expand its service in accordance with rural revitalization, refine and perfect the task list, and accelerate the implementation. In terms of industrial logistics, China Post will learn from its experience and practices in serving big car and home appliance enterprises, and make great efforts to pilot and promote industrial logistics in Guiyang as soon as possible. In terms of big data application, China Post will try advancing new digital postal services and scenarios based on the massive financial and logistics data generated by its various business segments and postal services, to empower high-quality corporate development.
