Inner Mongolia Postal Branch ranks first in international business revenue growth
|China Post News|2024-03-27

Since the beginning of this year, Inner Mongolia Postal Branch has leveraged the specialized advantages of the integrated customs clearance for international mail, international express, and cross-border e-commerce services and seized the opportunity of government policy support for cross-border e-commerce export enterprises to constantly develop international business market. At present, the international business of Inner Mongolia Postal Branch has generated a revenue of over 23 million yuan (about 3.18 million US dollars), with a year-on-year growth ranking first among postal branches in China.

Relying on Manzhouli Office of Exchange (and Mail Unit), Inner Mongolia Postal Branch has been committed to strengthening the Russia-bound international dedicated line. It has given full play to its time limit advantage, developed large-scale cross-border e-commerce business, and currently generated a mail volume of nearly 600,000 pieces. At the same time, Inner Mongolia Postal Branch has increased its efforts to develop inbound commercial express service. It has succeeded in negotiating with 10 carriers of inbound commercial express items from countries such as Canada, the United States and Australia, and has imported 64,000 pieces of goods for customs clearance. In order to provide strong support for international business, Inner Mongolia Postal Branch has actively communicated and coordinated with Manzhouli Customs District to optimize the processing procedures of inbound mail items, increase the frequency of mail transit, and refine customs declaration process of mail items. They have established a prediction mechanism for mail under customs transit and adjusted customs inspection time to 5 working days per week, making the total land transportation time for Russia-bound mail 4 days shorter than that through other ports. Meanwhile, Inner Mongolia Postal Branch has made every effort to promote service extension and business expansion, and successfully developed domestic last-mile delivery service for two overseas customers, which is expected to help domestic express parcel business generate revenue of nearly 300,000 yuan (about 41,000 US dollars).
