On May 22, a launch ceremony of the sales and shipping of Yantai cherries, apples and seafood, also China Postal Airlines’ direct flight cold-chain delivery, was held in Yantai, Shandong. At the launch ceremony, 18 teams from the livestreaming centers of Shandong Postal Branch and postal branches of different cities in Shandong jointly started the livestream marketing of Yantai cherries. And the team from Yantai Postal Branch livestreamed to promote cherries, apples, seafood and other agricultural products produced in Yantai.

At 0:15 am on May 24, China Postal Airlines Flight CF9133 arrived at Yantai Penglai International Airport, where 21,381 kilograms of Yantai cherries, picked and packaged on the previous afternoon, were immediately loaded onto the aircraft. At 1:43 am, the plane took off, marking the official operation of China Post’s Yantai-Nanjing dedicated flight for EMS fresh delivery of cherries in 2024.

This is the 12th year of operation for the dedicated Yantai cherry flight. This year, the Yantai-Nanjing dedicated flight will operate one flight a day with a B757-200F for 25 days, spanning the peak period of cherry picking. Since May, China Postal Airlines has reserved special freight space on the Dalian-Weifang-Nanjing, Jinan-Nanjing and Qingdao-Nanjing air routes to transport the most popular cherries within the coverage of its air network. The combination of China Post’s independent aviation network and China Postal Airlines’ dedicated flights has made it possible for the fresh cherries from Yantai and Shandong Peninsula to reach the dinner tables across the country, thus contributing to the revitalization of rural industries and the high-quality development of local economy.
