On May 25, the first drone delivery route in Hefei, Anhui province, completed its test flight successfully. The postal route is from Zhongmiao Branch Office to Mushan Island in Chaohu Lake. It used to be postal carriers who fulfilled the deliveries there by boat. This time, a drone took the place, covered the direct flight distance of four kilometers, and completed the delivery in merely four minutes from takeoff to landing on Mushan Island.

As is reported, Zhongmiao Branch Office has established two drone logistics takeoff and landing sites. Postal workers load the items onto a drone, and press the takeoff button. Then the drone will fly from Zhongmiao Branch Office and deliver the express items directly to the tourist service center on the island, where the items will be collected by the staff of the service center. The drone currently used by Hefei Postal Branch is an Antwork RA3P logistics drone, which has a maximum payload of nine kilograms and can ensure one round trip per day at the beginning of operation.
