On the occasion of the 11th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, the theme post office Silu Post jointly established by Xi’an Postal Branch in Shaanxi province and Tang West Market Cultural Industry Investment Group Co. Ltd. (Tang West Market Group) officially opened on June 1 at the starting point of the ancient Silk Road.

Based on local culture and postal characteristics, the theme post office combines the functions of promoting Silk Road culture, ancient relay station culture and tourism culture, and integrates elements of ancient and modern times and China-overseas communications into the philosophy of design, layout of objects and arrangements of activities, thereby organically connecting the ancient relay station culture with modern postal services. The carp-shaped mailbox at the entrance of the post office vividly presents to the visitors the ancient Chinese story of carps transmitting letters.

It is reported that the theme post office will successively launch featured philatelic products, and regularly hold themed cultural and creative events. It will create scenarios that integrate sales of cultural and creative products with Silk Road and postal characteristics and promotion of tourism culture, and provide the general public and tourists with a richer and more diversified postal culture experience through high-quality service and unique cultural characteristics.
