PSBC Shanghai Branch participates in Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo

On June 5, the 2nd Shanghai International Carbon Neutrality Expo in Technologies, Products and Achievements opened at Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The Postal Savings Bank of China (hereinafter referred to as PSBC) Shanghai Branch participated in the expo on the theme of “Green World, Better Life”. By displaying promotional videos and distributing pamphlets, it demonstrated PSBC’s achievements in top-level design, product innovation, risk management, technology empowerment and green operations, as well as its efforts to act on the belief that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets, thereby releasing the “green momentum” of creating a beautiful world.

In recent years, PSBC Shanghai Branch has been actively exploring the growing path of an innovative, robust and enterprising city bank, and striving to build itself into a green, inclusive, climate-friendly and eco-friendly bank. After launching green financial products such as loans to clean energy industry, new energy vehicle loans, and green and low-carbon themed credit cards, PSBC Shanghai Branch has been actively exploring new ground, drawing capital to green industries, and boosting the low-carbon economy by promoting innovative products and models such as sustainability-linked loans and green credit asset securitization. In addition, in terms of new investment models such as supporting blue economy, and issuing carbon-neutral bonds and green bonds, Shanghai Branch has provided more sustainable financing options for enterprises and institutions, further advancing the development of green finance. As of the end of 2023, its balance of green loans increased by 63.06 percent from the end of 2022, and its balance of green financing increased by 77.09 percent from the end of 2022.
