Digital mail center deployed on 134 mail processing premises

As of June 30, the digital mail center had been successfully deployed on 21 newly-relocated mail processing premises across the country this year. Till then, the first phase of the digital mail center project had been cumulatively rolled out on 134 premises across 90 provincial-level mail centers nationwide. Through 14 intelligent scenarios such as business volume prediction, smart scheduling and AI automated monitoring, the digital mail center will make the production management process more standardized and refined. Applied in the whole process of pre-event prediction, during-event monitoring and post-event review, it can enable real-time sense of production status and timely correction of production anomalies, and contribute to more accurate decision-making, leaner management and control, shorter time limit and higher processing efficiency and operation quality.

As a critical component of the digital post initiative, the digital mail center project is vital for the transformation, cost reduction and efficiency increase of the parcel, express and logistics business. It is also a significant measure to comprehensively deepen the standardization reform of the mail centers, and boost process optimization and management improvement. Since the beginning of this year, China Post Information Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CPIT) has drawn on the best practices of the industry, and pushed forward the second phase of the digital mail center project from the life cycle perspective of the production process based on the achievements of the standardization reform as well as the actual production and management of the mail centers. By enriching and improving digital and intelligent scenarios, CPIT has further consolidated the digital foundation in personnel management, entry and exit of vehicles, mail processing, on-site management and so on, promoted the evolution of functions of the digital mail center, continuously strengthened the technology empowerment support for the parcel, express and logistics business, and persistently driven the digital transformation of the mail centers.
