On July 23, Liu Aili, chairman of China Post Group Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as China Post Group), met with Jin Hui, vice-governor of Hebei, and her entourage at the headquarters of China Post Group. They had in-depth discussions on promoting the industrial projects in Xiong’an New Area, advancing the high-quality development of modern commerce and logistics, and serving the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas. Both parties expressed their intention to further deepen strategic cooperation and jointly promote the high-quality development of regional economy. Wang Jian, vice president of China Post Group, and relevant persons in charge from both sides attended the discussions.
On behalf of the Hebei Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the Hebei provincial government, Jin Hui expressed her gratitude to China Post Group for its enduring concern and support for Hebei’s development. She emphasized, the backing of centrally-administered State-owned enterprises (SOEs) is indispensable in pushing forward the high-quality growth of modern commerce and logistics, which are closely connected to the development of regional economy. Only when industries and logistics are deeply integrated and mutually promoted can traditional industries be effectively transformed and upgraded, hence new opportunities for regional progress. According to Jin Hui, in the first half of this year, the economic development in Hebei has demonstrated a robust momentum. She hopes to deepen strategic cooperation with China Post, and anticipates strong support from China Post for developing industrial projects in Xiong’an New Area and building a pivotal hub for national modern commerce and logistics in Hebei.
Liu Aili expressed his heartfelt thanks to the Hebei Provincial Committee of the CPC and the Hebei provincial government for their steadfast support for the development of China Post and extended a warm welcome to Jin Hui and her entourage. Liu Aili pointed out, warehousing and the integration of warehousing, distribution and sales are integral to the development of logistics and e-commerce platforms. China Post will seize the significant strategic opportunities of the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and strengthen communication with Hebei to make phased planning and continuously improve and enhance the service capacity of mail centers in Langfang and other places. Focusing on the layout of specialty industries in Xiong’an New Area, Liu stated that China Post would firmly implement the plans of the central government, fulfill its responsibilities as a centrally-administered SOE, and facilitate Xiong’an New Area to develop an export-oriented economy. He hopes that the Hebei Provincial Committee of CPC and the Hebei provincial government can provide more policy support for postal services when planning logistics systems in Xiong’an New Area. In terms of the comprehensive revitalization of rural areas, Liu Aili pointed out, there are huge demands for express services in rural areas, and extending express services to villages is an essential part in equalizing public services. He hopes that the government departments may further promote the collaboration of public transport and postal services, and take advantage of the surplus capacity of public transport to boost the flow of agricultural products to urban areas and industrial products to rural areas, thereby facilitating postal and express services to serve the livelihood of the public.
Both parties also conducted in-depth discussions and reached a number of agreements on the functional layout and process design of postal land in Daxing International Airport Economic Zone, the construction of the international logistics system in Xiong’an New Area, the location of postal land and the settlement of post offices.
