China Post tackles new trends of Double 11 peak season with multiple measures

This year marks the 16th Double 11 shopping spree. In view of the records of being the earliest and longest festival and its new characteristics, China Post Group has established the overall goal of strengthening capabilities to improve its business scale, strengthening marketing to increase its market share, strengthening operations to improve the time limit and strengthening service to improve its image, so as to further ensure its operations during the peak season.

Since the beginning of this year, the parcel, express and logistics business of China Post Group has further consolidated its foundation of high-quality development and accumulated strength for the Double 11 peak season. From the perspective of its own development, the standard express service for e-commerce has seen accelerated development and therefore enhanced its competitiveness in the mid- and high-end e-commerce market during the peak season. The express parcel service, its profit generator, has grown rapidly and realized intensive and large-scale development. Besides, the rapid development of reverse logistics market has stimulated the growth momentum of the return and exchange business. The parcel, express and logistics business has also witnessed rapidly enhanced efficiency in mail acceptance, and effectively improved collection capabilities. Moreover, it has rolled out a combination of policies to empower the primary level units to enhance their competitiveness. From the perspective of its competitiveness, the timeliness of its services has kept improving. At present, the next-day delivery rate of EMS items has increased by 1.2 percent and that of inter-provincial mail items by 7.3 percent; the fourth day (T+3) delivery rate of express parcels has increased by 6.8 percent and that of inter-provincial mail items by 8.1 percent.

During the Double 11, China Post Group will secure a good performance in this peak season through a dozen measures, such as focusing on implementing optimized time limit standards and strengthening process management to improve the time limit, enhancing operational capacity to ensure smooth operation of the entire network, strengthening customer service and support to ensure better customer experience, and shouldering all responsibilities to ensure workplace safety.
