Strengthening exchanges and cooperation to promote agricultural development of China and Slovenia—— Chairman Liu Aili meets Slovenian Minister Mateja Čalušić
|China Post News|2024-11-16

On November 14, Chairman Liu Aili of China Post Group Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as China Post) met with Mateja Čalušić, minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Food of Slovenia, and her entourage at the headquarters of China Post. Both sides conducted in-depth exchanges on cooperation in the field of agriculture and rural affairs.

Liu Aili extended a warm welcome to Mateja Čalušić and her entourage, and introduced the reform and development of China Post, especially the measures it has taken and achievements it has made in serving rural revitalization. He stated that in recent years, China and Slovenia had continuously enhanced political mutual trust, strengthened the alignment of development strategies, and achieved fruitful results in practical cooperation across various fields. China Post and Post of Slovenia have signed a bilateral cooperation agreement. And there is enormous potential and broad space for cooperation between the two parties. China Post, as the only centrally-administered state-owned enterprise with its post offices established in all townships and postal services reaching all administrative villages, has leveraged its own resource endowment in the flow of commodity, logistics, capital and information to solve the three difficulties of logistics, sales and financing in rural areas. It has promoted the integration of small industries in rural areas into the economic circulation, and facilitated the connection of agricultural products from thousands of households to the national market, thereby forming a unique model of China Post in serving rural revitalization. Slovenia has unique characteristics in agricultural development, and China Post is willing to share its experience in serving agriculture, rural areas, and farmers with Slovenia.

Mateja Čalušić highly praised the development achievements of China and China Post. She stated, Slovenia attaches great importance to the cooperation with China in various fields, and the cooperation between Post of Slovenia and China Post has already yielded positive results. Currently, Slovenia is promoting the electronic, information, and intelligent development of agriculture and rural affairs, and continuously enhancing the level of modernization. She hopes that China Post can share its advanced experience in serving agricultural and rural development, especially its experience in tackling logistics issues in agricultural development. At the same time, she also hopes that China Post will establish cooperation with more Slovenian enterprises to jointly explore new development channels.
