The air route from Chengdu to Dhaka is the first direct international route in Sichuan and the first international air route to South Asia launched by China Post, which indicates that China Post has taken a firm step forward in mapping out its international freight market in Southwest China and in building an air corridor and a service platform connecting Southwest China with South Asian countries for the economic and trade development. It will further improve the logistics timeliness of foreign trade, cross-border e-commerce and manufacturing enterprises in Southwest China.
This is the second air route provided by China Post for overseas Chinese following Yancheng-Seoul route. As a dedicated international cargo route arranged by the coordination between China Post Group and the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas, such routes aim to provide strong support for China to deepen opening-up and cooperation and promote high-quality development of foreign trade. In the future, air routes from Yancheng to Osaka, from Qingdao to Seoul and from Qingdao to Nagoya will be successively opened to facilitate overseas Chinese.
