|China Post News|2024-12-24

On December 20, President Zheng Guoyu of China Post Group Corporation Limited (China Post) met with CEO Telmen Gerelt of Mongol Post JSC (Mongol Post) and his entourage at the headquarters of China Post in Beijing. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges and discussion on further strengthening cooperation in cross-border e-commerce and providing high-quality cross-border logistics services.

Zheng Guoyu extended a warm welcome to Telmen Gerelt and his entourage, and introduced the reform and development of China Post in recent years. He stated, China and Mongolia are good neighbors, good friends and good partners linked by mountains and rivers. The two countries constantly expand and deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, securing fruitful outcomes in politics, economy, culture and other fields. As designated postal operators of the two countries, China Post and Mongol Post also cooperate closely under the framework of the Universal Postal Union (UPU). Earlier this year, the two sides signed a bilateral cooperation agreement on e-Packet service, laying a foundation for further cooperation and market expansion in the future. Zheng hopes that the two sides, based on the consensus reached in this meeting, will speed up the progress in cross-border logistics business, mail transit cooperation and joint expansion of market share, and bring the cooperation affairs down to earth.

Telmen Gerelt highly praised the remarkable achievements China Post has made in its reform and development in recent years, and also extended his gratitude to China Post for its longtime support for Mongol Post. He said, China Post, ranking first among global postal operators, is leading the development of the postal industry worldwide. And Mongol Post regards China Post as a key partner. Over the past few years, Mongol Post has continuously improved its mail processing capacity along the China-Mongolia border, enabling multimodal transit service for mail shipped from China to Russia. He expressed his keen aspiration to further deepen cooperation with China Post, hoping that the two sides can seize the opportunity of the rapid growth in cross-border trade to jointly expand cross-border e-commerce business and achieve win-win development.
