On December 7, the finals of the 2024 Express Industry Innovation Competition hosted by the State Post Bureau drew to a successful conclusion. The competition generated a total of 13 gold awards and 20 silver awards. Among them, “China Post digital intelligence logistics park” submitted by China Post Group Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as China Post Group) won the gold award, and “Smart Patrol -- multi-modal remote sensing digital twin technology empowering intelligent inspection in express sorting centers” submitted by China Post Group Jinchang Jinchuan Branch won the silver award. Altogether 10 organizations and institutions including China Post Group won the award for excellent organization.

Taking “integrating intelligence and innovation for the future of express industry” as the theme, the competition focused on the six aspects of the express industry including industrial upgrading, service improving, serving rural revitalization, green development, platform construction and safety, with the entries categorized into innovative product design and workflow optimization, and the competitors as students and professionals. A total of 1106 teams from 159 organizations and institutions in 29 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities) across the country participated in the competition, and 365 projects were shortlisted for the national finals. After online evaluation, 163 projects stood out, of which 33 teams competed for the gold and silver awards on site. The participating projects covered such fields as sci-tech innovation, industrial application, social welfare and business innovation, which demonstrated the cutting-edge trends and latest achievements in the development of the express industry.

The project “China Post digital intelligence logistics park” is an important component of the Digital Post initiative, and a vital lever for the business transformation, cost reduction and efficiency improvement of the express and logistics services. It is also very important for implementing the standardization reform in mail centers, and promoting process optimization and management improvement. The project focuses on strengthening the application of digital intelligence to such scenarios as personnel management, vehicle access, mail processing and on-site management in mail centers, thereby fully unleashing the multiplier effect of data elements, creating new quality productive forces in postal services, and achieving new breakthroughs in empowering high-quality postal development with digital intelligence.

The project “Smart Patrol -- multi-modal remote sensing digital twin technology empowering intelligent inspection in express sorting centers” integrates advanced remote sensing technology into multi scenario inspection robots, and makes it possible to save manpower and improve management efficiency and accuracy significantly when used in express sorting centers.
