Recently, the Postal Savings Bank of China (PSBC) won the first prize of Fintech Development Award 2023 with its innovation project on proactive credit granting and rural revitalization business model driven by multidomain data assets, marking another remarkable victory secured by PSBC in technology empowerment following the first prize it won in the same award in 2022 with its project of developing large bank’s distributed core system based on business modeling.

The Fintech Development Award is jointly established by the People’s Bank of China and the China Securities Regulatory Commission. It focuses on selecting outstanding sci-tech innovations in the financial sector in China, with its participants covering financial enterprises in the field of banking, securities, insurance and payment. It is one of the most prestigious awards in China’s fintech industry.

PSBC has actively explored business model innovation, and made new breakthroughs in proactive credit granting and rural revitalization business model driven by multidomain data assets and collaboration with postal services, thus pushing forward the high-quality development of inclusive finance. The project has developed independently a domestically-produced big data platform that supports over 100,000 batch jobs, and has established a multidomain data asset management and service system to create new momentum for business development, taking the lead in China. In addition to the first prize, PSBC also won a second prize with its secure and controllable cloud-native technology middle office designed for ultra-large applications, and third prizes for its enterprise-level intelligent anti-fraud platform and enterprise-level digital and intelligent operations platform.
