|China Post News|2025-02-13

As of February 10, Heilongjiang Postal Branch has received over 210,000 items into its Harbin warehousing and logistics site and dispatched more than 200,000 items from the said site, providing solid logistical support for the smooth running of the 9th Asian Winter Games (hereinafter referred to as the Games).

As the exclusive warehousing and logistics carrier of the Games, Heilongjiang Postal Branch has established a modern warehousing and logistics site of 5,400 square meters in Harbin Mail Center, to satisfy the needs for storing the large volume of inbound materials, sponsors’ supplies and athletes’ equipment. In the Yabuli competition area, Heilongjiang Postal Branch has rented a warehousing and logistics facility of 1,000 square meters to ensure seamless coordination of supplies between the two competition areas.

In view of the wide variety and varying weights of the materials for the Games, Heilongjiang Postal Branch has specially added 305 heavy-duty shelving units and 17 light-duty shelving units to increase the utilization rate of the warehouse. It has achieved rapid material localization and retrieval through rational zoned management. Besides, Heilongjiang Postal Branch has increased two electric forklifts, 2,300 heavy-duty pallets and two semi-automatic packing machines, which has significantly optimized the efficiency of material receiving, dispatching, packing and truck loading, ensuring both accuracy and safety.

Based on the comprehensively upgraded hardware facilities, Heilongjiang Postal Branch has collaborated with specialized sci-tech companies to develop a warehousing and logistics management system, which utilizes technologies such as big data analysis and cloud computing to enable intelligent management across all processes of put-away, storage, sorting, dispatching and shipping.

In terms of transportation, Heilongjiang Postal Branch has deployed 60 new energy vehicles, all of which are equipped with the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System to enable real-time monitoring of vehicle operating status and material transport conditions and to ensure the safety and stability of the materials throughout the transportation process.
