In order to better meet the needs of border residents for postal service, Inner Mongolia Postal Branch has continuously improved universal postal service in border natural villages. As of the end of February, universal postal service had covered all 131 border natural villages across Inner Mongolia autonomous region. The delivery frequency of People’s Daily had also been increased from twice a week to five times a week, which had radically addressed the challenges of border residents in getting timely access to newspapers. And express items could all be delivered to border administrative villages and border troops.

In recent years, Inner Mongolia Postal Branch has gone all out to guarantee direct postal service in border and coastal defense areas. In 2021, 17 border defense postal routes were put into service. In 2022, such postal routes in Xilin Gol League and Hinggan League were launched. In 2024, postal routes to 71 border posts were opened, with the delivery mileage reaching 3.967 million kilometers, and over a million of newspapers and periodicals, parcels and letters delivered to border administrative villages and border troops.
