On March 19, a B737-800F all-cargo freighter of China Postal Airlines with a full load of 14.8 tonnes of goods took off from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. This was the first flight that the South China postal (international) air hub had offered ground support service, marking that the hub had officially come into trial operation.
It is reported that the hub has achieved efficient connectivity with the airport logistics, China Southern Airlines logistics and airport ground handling services, and pioneered a multi-party coordinated operation mechanism involving China Post, the air cargo terminal, China Southern Airlines logistics and the Customs. At the same time, as the first smart digital air port in China that integrates visualized, paperless and information-based management of the whole chain of mail processing, the South China postal (international) air hub has innovatively applied the intelligent pre-clearance system and digital Customs affairs platform, making it possible to reduce the time limit for clearance of international mail, foreign trade cargoes and cross-border e-commerce goods to no more than two hours.
