China Post Insurance launched its video underwriting system recently in Jiangxi province. The system has further streamlined the underwriting process, significantly reducing the need for clients to make repeated visits to outlets or submit additional documents, allowing them to complete underwriting via video at home.

China Post Insurance has piloted the video underwriting system in Jiangxi since last year, in an effort to achieve the management goals of online service, automated business handling, intelligent application scenarios and centralized professional operations. It has tested the operation of all processes of the four sub functional modules under the video underwriting module, including pushing underwriting tasks, in the context of intelligent counter service. After the launch of the system, clients can reply to notifications, supplement documents for approval and complete other processes online. Having made an appointment, the clients can connect with the underwriters via the WeChat mini program of China Post Insurance to complete video underwriting, during which clients respond to inquiries and produce relevant documents via video call.
