At 10:00 on March 26, a Boeing B757-200F freighter emblazoned with “EMS” on its vertical tail, loaded with cross-border e-commerce goods and mail items bound for Bangladesh, took off from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka, Bangladesh at 14:00. This marks that China Post has officially opened its Guangzhou-Dhaka international cargo and mail route. Operating two flights per week at the initial stage, the route is expected to increase flight frequencies in the future based on demand.
The Guangzhou-Dhaka route is the first air cargo route connecting Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport and Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, and the second international air route to South Asia operated by China Post following Chengdu-Dhaka route launched on December 15, 2024. Since the beginning of this year, China Post has successively opened Quanzhou-Clark, Guangzhou-Clark and Guangzhou -Dhaka routes, expanding its international aviation network to 26 international air routes.
