On August 8, the air cargo and mail route from Jinan, Shandong to Tokyo, Japan, was officially opened. This route is operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, three flights a week. This is the eighth international air cargo and mail route launched by China Post this year.

This route is the first direct air freight channel connecting the Shandong Peninsula with Tokyo, the largest international freight hub in Japan. The route bears the new momentum for Jinan and Qingdao to jointly build an international air hub, and will comprehensively support the development of Shandong’s blue economy. Meanwhile, based on the strengths of highly efficient distribution of China Post’s independent air network, this route will continue to ensure the smooth logistics flows between the Shandong Peninsula and the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, significantly enhance logistics efficiency to Japan, and reduce the time limit for Japan-bound mail items from the above areas.
