China Post issued a set of three commemorative stamps entitled The 60th Founding Anniversary of Xizang Autonomous Region on August 15, 2025. The designs of the stamps are respectively named Jointly Fulfilling the Chinese Dream, Beautiful Snowy Plateau and Happy Life.

The stamp designs integrate the ethnic characteristics of Tibetan painting with the Constructivism artistic language of modern decorative painting, featuring gorgeous colors, imposing manner and bright rhythm. They showcase that under the guidelines of the Communist Party of China (CPC) for governing Xizang in the new era, people of all ethnic groups in Xizang work together hand in hand and march forward in unity to make all-round progress in all endeavors, and get their sense of fulfillment, happiness and security continuously enhanced.

The first stamp, Jointly Fulfilling the Chinese Dream, takes the logo of the 60th anniversary celebration of the Xizang autonomous region as the central element, surrounded by people of all ethnic groups in festive attire, with the background displaying Lhasa Gonggar Airport, the C919 aircraft and the 40-meter radio telescope in Shigatse. This design suggests a harmonious picture where people of all ethnic groups have joined hands and worked with one heart in pursuit of ethnic unity and progress under the leadership of the CPC in the 60 years since the founding of the Xizang autonomous region.

The second stamp, Beautiful Snowy Plateau, depicts yaks, Tibetan wild donkeys and Tibetan antelopes either roaming or galloping freely, flying black-necked cranes and Mount Qomolangma bathed in sunlight, demonstrating the unique ecological environment and rich biodiversity in Xizang, and reflecting the remarkable achievements the autonomous region has made in ecological protection and progress.

The third stamp, Happy Life, features the Xizang Museum, local residential buildings, a high-speed train running on the Lhasa-Nyingchi railway, the Lhasa River Bridge, the Pangduo Reservoir and other elements, presenting the beautiful scene where Xizang has secured comprehensive development of social undertakings, consistent improvement of people’s well-being, and steady increase in people’s sense of fulfillment and happiness.

This set of stamps is printed with offset printing technology, which makes the designs saturated in colors, rich in texture, and prominent in themes. Through saturated colors and high-definition offset printing effects, the stamps highly present the local characteristics of Xizang. Gold foil stamping technology is applied to certain details to enhance the texture of the stamps and make the designs more delicate and richer; while fluorescent effects are used on some elements to make the thematic content more prominent under ultraviolet light and enhance the overall anti-counterfeiting performance of the stamps.

The set of stamps is designed by Ye Xingsheng and Zheng Wei, edited by Wen Wenya, and printed with offset technology by Beijing Stamp Printing House Company Limited. The denomination of the whole set is 3.60 yuan, and the planned circulation is 4.9 million sets.
