This service has effectively satisfied online shoppers’ demands for returns when there is no back freight insurance or when platforms cannot provide door-to-door pickup, thus providing convenient service for online shoppers in both urban and rural areas.

As a new service to benchmark competitors and fulfill customers’ offline return needs, the EMS return service for online shopping has demonstrated robust growth momentum since it was launched on October 24, 2024. Its monthly revenue has surged from over one million yuan (about 0.14 million US dollars) at the initial period to over eight million yuan (about 1.11 million US dollars) currently. On May 30, with coordinated promotion by the Postal Service Department and the Parcel, Express and Logistics Business Unit of China Post Group, the operational guidelines for this service were issued at all post offices nationwide to help customers send returns on-site and effectively boost the development of the service
