On the occasion of celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region, central and industrial media launched theme coverage of postal services in Xinjiang in Kashgar, Xinjiang, on September 8. The activity aims to highlight the achievements Xinjiang Postal Branch has made in its development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021–25), particularly its positive role and contributions in ensuring local stability, boosting local economies and raising local living standards. It also seeks to showcase the achievements of economic and social development in border areas and the significant improvement of local people’s sense of fulfillment and happiness.

The activity will be conducted in border areas such as Kashgar city, Tajik autonomous county of Taxkorgan and Yecheng county. Journalists will visit Khunjerab Pass, post offices, cooperatives and Kashgar Office of Exchange, and conduct interviews about the achievements Xinjiang Postal Branch has made in improving the quality and efficiency of universal postal service, developing the three-tier logistics system at village, township and county levels, supporting rural revitalization and facilitating the smooth flow of border trade channels.
