On January 2, Sichuan Airlines’ Chengdu-Los Angeles flight set off for the United States, carrying the first shipment of 100 cases of small packets weighing 1.8 tonnes for the China-USA dedicated line of Sichuan Postal Branch. The smooth departure of the flight not only marked that Sichuan Postal Branch had officially launched the China-USA dedicated small packet service, but also witnessed their 24-hour coordination endeavors. This was also a crucial step forward Sichuan Postal Branch had taken in the market-oriented operation of its international business.
Tracing back to 9:00 pm on December 30, 2025, the international logistics warehouse of Sichuan Postal Branch was brightly lit under the night sky. The project team jointly organized by the International Business Company of Sichuan Postal Branch and its strategic partner, Shenzhen YFD International Logistics, was closely monitoring every step of the entire process. Some members were meticulously checking the shipment numbers to ensure precise information matching; some were operating the devices for reweighing, too busy to wipe the sweat dripping down their faces; while others were communicating with customs officers in real time to synchronize the progress of customs declaration. At 3:00 am the next day, the warehouse remained bustling with activity. During the security check process, team members inspected each case to ensure that the items complied with the air freight standards. In the acceptance and customs declaration process, they accurately entered every piece of information to guarantee smooth customs clearance. With the final case of items successfully palletized, the China-USA dedicated small packet service successfully concluded the whole process for its first shipment.
