On April 10, China Post launched a new international air cargo and mail route connecting Nanjing Lukou International Airport in China with Clark International Airport in the Philippines.
Operated by a B737-800 all-cargo aircraft, this is the first direct all-cargo air route between Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province, and the Philippines. With a one-way flight of just 3.5 hours, this new route has remarkably reduced the transportation time of the Philippines-bound international mail, high-value goods and cross-border e-commerce products from the Yangtze River Delta region. Since July 2024, China Post has successfully launched and stably operated Yiwu-Manila, Yiwu-Clark, Quanzhou-Clark, Guangzhou-Clark, Fuzhou-Manila and Fuzhou-Clark air cargo and mail routes. The newly-launched Nanjing-Clark air route marks the seventh Philippines-bound air route in China Post’s independent air network, which leads the industry in terms of the number of air routes and frequency of flights, and has therefore significantly strengthened China Post’s role in supporting the Belt and Road Initiative and regional economic and trade exchanges under the RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) framework.
Currently, China Post is operating a total of 37 international and regional air cargo and mail routes, providing crucial air transport capacity to boost China’s manufacturing industry going global and the cross-border e-commerce development.
