From June 16 to 18, the 2026 China International Financial Exhibition was held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center. The Postal Savings Bank of China (hereinafter referred to as PSBC) was invited to participate as an exhibitor.
In the main exhibition area, PSBC showcased its innovative initiatives and tangible outcomes in such fields as sci-tech finance, green finance, inclusive finance, pension finance and digital finance, comprehensively presenting its latest achievements in advancing the upgrading towards distinctive, light, integrated, ecosystem-based, refined, and digital and intelligent development. Specifically, the sci-tech finance segment highlighted PSBC’s upgraded financial product matrix and credit review technology. The green finance segment showcased PSBC’s initiatives and achievements in its efforts to build itself into a green inclusive bank, a climate-friendly bank and an eco-friendly bank, with its commitment to carbon peak and carbon neutrality and the building of a Beautiful China. The inclusive finance segment demonstrated the exclusive product and service system for inclusive finance, and its efforts to comprehensively meet the financial needs of micro and small enterprises relying on its service matrix of U Financing, U Ecosystem, U Scenario and U Steward. The pension finance segment presented PSBC’s efforts to comprehensively develop the three-dimensional pension finance system, and the core initiatives PSBC launched in the three major areas of pension finance, retirement service finance and elderly care industry finance around the “pension plus finance” scenario ecosystem. The digital finance segment highlighted PSBC’s innovative practices including building the “AI2ALL” digital ecosystem, upgrading the service model of its mobile banking version 11.0, releasing the open-source LLM model for the financial industry and launching the “PSBC” remote sensing satellite to empower risk control.
In the digital RMB exhibition zone, PSBC utilized multimedia displays and interactive devices to enhance visitors’ experience and engagement. In the area of cross-border payment, PSBC leveraged the multilateral central bank digital currency bridge project to achieve instant settlement, reducing overall transaction costs by nearly 50 percent, with its business covering 16 provincial-level administrative institutions nationwide and transaction volume exceeding 2.7 billion yuan (about 398.41 million US dollars). In terms of smart contracts, PSBC applied technologies to scenarios like supply chain finance, prepaid fund supervision and consumption subsidy, continuously unlocking the value of digital empowerment. In the areas such as rural revitalization, government services and people’s livelihood consumption, PSBC actively expanded the application scenarios of digital RMB to cover everyday settings such as buses, subways, cinemas and supermarkets.
