On August 12, Henan Postal Branch officially launched its first test vehicle on the Zhengzhou-Russia dedicated cross-border e-commerce land route.

This vehicle was loaded with 37,600 Russia-bound cross-border e-commerce parcels weighing 5,061 kilograms. Under the efficient supervision of the Customs office in Zhengzhou Postal Branch, this shipment of parcels went through the entire process of standardized, intelligent and expeditious customs formalities including declaration, inspection and release via the 9610 cross-border e-commerce export customs clearance model at Zhengzhou Office of Exchange. After being transshipped at Baktu Port in Xinjiang, the parcels will be transported directly to Kazan, Russia. The whole journey from Zhengzhou to Kazan takes only 10-12 days, which greatly shortens the time limit for the Russia-bound cross-border e-commerce parcels exported from Henan via land transportation and further reduces international transportation costs.

Previously, Henan used to rely heavily on air freight for its Russia-bound cross-border logistics, thereby facing such pain points as high transportation costs and numerous restrictions on product categories. The launch of this dedicated direct land route has effectively resolved the aforementioned logistics bottlenecks. Once in regular operation, it will help enterprises cut cross-border logistics costs, and gradually enrich the categories of shipments. Consequently, it will provide a one-stop logistics solution with more stable delivery time, greater security and superior cost-effectiveness for Russia-oriented cross-border e-commerce sellers in Henan and even across the whole country.
