On the afternoon of September 10, at the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), China Postal Express & Logistics Co Ltd held a press conference, unveiling two innovation achievements: Innovation Practice of Air-Ground Integrated Unmanned Delivery with UAV and UGV and Global Cross-Border Logistics Steward for Overseas Chinese (China Post consolidated shipping platform).

According to the introduction, the project “Innovation Practice of Air-Ground Integrated Unmanned Delivery with UAV and UGV” focused on addressing the pain points in campus distribution, such as insufficient capacity during peak periods, mismatched service hours, high operating costs and security management challenges, and built a full-chain air-ground integrated unmanned delivery system combining unmanned ground vehicles (UGV), unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) and robot dogs. Piloted at Harbin Engineering University, the project has finished upgrading 18 on-campus service points to unmanned operations. With over 500 trial run trips covering a delivery distance of over 500 kilometers, the project has fulfilled the closed loop of unmanned operations covering the entire process from mail acceptance, transit, to delivery and pickup.

In the field of cross-border logistics, China Post consolidated shipping platform created by China Postal Express & Logistics has innovatively developed a service model featuring multi-platform cargo consolidation, multi-warehouse operations, multi-package shipment, multi-channel mailing and multi-country distribution. Up to now, this service has covered 20 provinces nationwide, established 22 standardized consolidation warehouses, and opened nearly 30 core cross-border logistics routes. As a result, it has effectively addressed the long-standing challenges faced by overseas Chinese, such as high shipping costs, slow delivery, difficulties in combining parcels and inconvenient after-sales service. This year, as an innovation of China Post’s EMS products, China Post consolidated shipping model won wide recognition at the General Assembly of the EMS Cooperative held at the headquarters of the Universal Postal Union in Switzerland, and therefore became an important innovation achievement contributed by China Post to the international postal cooperation system and another vivid example of China Post supporting China’s brands to go global and smoothing the dual circulation of domestic and international markets.
