Recently, with the approval of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), China Postal Airlines has officially obtained the specific operational approval for Extended Diversion Time Operations (EDTO). The acquisition of this approval marked a major breakthrough China Postal Airlines had made in its operational support capabilities for transoceanic and intercontinental routes, laying a solid foundation for the airline to further expand its global air cargo network.

To complete the full-process EDTO certification and validation with high quality, China Postal Airlines coordinated professional resources covering operational standards, flight operations, aircraft maintenance, operational control and safety management, and effectively implemented all preparatory work.

The validation flight was operated on the Nanjing-Luxembourg-Zhengzhou route. Led by the management of China Postal Airlines, the validation flight crew consisted of four senior pilots with long-range operation experience. Inspectors from the CAAC Beijing Safety Supervision Administration participated throughout the process. They fully recognized China Postal Airlines’ comprehensive operational support plan and provided professional guidance for the subsequent regular EDTO operations.
