At 15:56 on September 2, a total of 247 international ePacket items sent from Hubei to Melbourne, Australia, were smoothly shipped via Flight CX931 at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport in Zhejiang province. This marked that Hubei Postal Branch had successfully completed the whole-process test for shipping outbound international mail via the Hangzhou gateway, and that it had ushered in the fifth efficient and stable air channel for its outbound international mail.

Previously, Hubei Postal Branch used to rely on the four major gateways in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Zhengzhou to transfer its outbound international mail. The newly-added Hangzhou gateway can effectively ease the capacity pressure on the traditional hubs and also provide the cross-border e-commerce and foreign trade enterprises in Hubei with more flexible options for international mail services. Jointly advanced by Wuhan Customs, Hangzhou Customs and the postal branches of Zhejiang and Hubei, the test covered the entire process, including mail inspection and dispatch in Wuhan, customs transit and verification in Hangzhou and direct air freight from the Hangzhou gateway. With precise data connection and efficient customs clearance, this test fully verified the feasibility and stability of the cross-customs-district coordination mode, laying a solid foundation for its subsequent regular operation.
