China Post opens Jiaxing–Luxembourg international air cargo route
|China Post News|2026-09-29

On September 21, China Post opened an international air cargo route from Jiaxing, Zhejiang, to Luxembourg. This is the 40th international and regional route opened by China Post, increasing the frequencies of its self-operated Europe-bound intercontinental flight to 8 flights per week. With this route, Jiaxing has become the fourth node city in China Post’s Europe-bound air routes, following Nanjing, Zhengzhou and Guangzhou.

The route is operated by a B777F freighter and primarily serves the competitive industries in Jiaxing and the Yangtze River Delta region, such as electronic information, high-end manufacturing, cross-border e-commerce, photovoltaics and auto parts. With an expected inbound and outbound annual freight volume of more than 12,000 tonnes, this route will provide efficient logistics support for businesses to explore the European market. Previously, most Europe-bound goods from Jiaxing used to be transited via Shanghai, Beijing and other gateways, resulting in numerous logistics links, long transit time and high costs. With Luxembourg as a hub, the newly opened route can cover 36 countries and regions in Europe, greatly shortening the cargo freight time from Jiaxing and the Yangtze River Delta region to major European countries and regions. Consequently, this route can enable businesses in Jiaxing and its surrounding areas to ship goods globally right from their “doorstep”, effectively reducing their overall logistics costs. Meanwhile, it can facilitate the easy access of premium European products to the domestic market in China, boosting the balanced development of two-way logistics between China and Europe.
