At exactly 2:06 am on August 14, an all-cargo aircraft carrying over 100 tons of cross-border e-commerce and general trade goods took off from Urumqi Diwopu International Airport, and arrived in Moscow 4 hours and 50 minutes later. This marks the official launch of the Urumqi-Moscow all cargo flights operated independently by Xinjiang Postal Branch.
This is a dedicated air cargo route to Russia organized by Xinjiang Postal Branch following Urumqi-Almaty mail and cargo charter flight route opened in June this year. The inauguration of this air route will help Xinjiang Postal Branch further expand its international transportation network and boost the interconnected development of Urumqi Comprehensive Bonded Zone and Urumqi Diwopu International Airport. It will also play an important part in supporting enterprises in Xinjiang to develop international air cargo business.
