On May 25, China Post Logistics Shandong Branch launched the first pilot low-altitude island logistics route of Shandong Postal Branch in Penglai district of Yantai, Shandong. The “Penglai-Changdao” route, a mail route to Changdao Island, only takes 15 minutes for a one-way trip, 30 minutes less than traditional sea transportation, and it can transport newspapers, periodicals, parcels, medicine and other items. This route is jointly launched by Yantai municipal government and several departments of Shandong Postal Branch after three months of feasibility studies, aiming to address the timeliness bottleneck of island logistics and enhance emergency-handling capabilities.
