|China Post News|2026-05-28

Recently, a Customs-sponsored dialogue was held at the Customs office in Shanghai Postal Branch. At the event, Shanghai Customs and Shanghai Postal Branch responded candidly to the questions asked by over 30 representatives from enterprises and the public on site. They strived to address the bottlenecks, difficulties and pain points of the customers, and continuously optimize regulatory service measures.

In recent years, Shanghai Postal Branch and the Customs stationed at Shanghai Postal Branch have further deepened cooperation in areas such as supervision information sharing and intelligent development empowerment. By applying multi-modal artificial intelligence, they have created a full chain of customs clearance supervision services, ranging from postal service consultation and guidance, online business processing, user emotion perception to dispute resolution, enabling individuals to enjoy smart guidance, end-to-end online transaction and worry-free services in mailing items, hence the convenience of “one-stop” customs clearance. Meanwhile, leveraging its network advantages, Shanghai Postal Branch has been deeply engaged in expanding its international business, and improving the timeliness across the whole process of customs clearance, warehousing, sea freight and distribution. In the first four months of this year, Shanghai Postal Branch handled nearly 4.5 million inbound and outbound mail items, a year-on-year increase of over 98 percent, with its international business revenue ranking first among postal branches nationwide.
